Bidu Zaugg is the new coach of Liechtenstein

Liechtenstein have appointed Bidu Zaugg as the new coach
of the national team, replacing Martin Andermatt who left to take charge
of BSC Young Boys in October.
'First-class abilities'
"Our goals and demands are in accord with Bidu Zaugg's," said
Liechtenstein Football Association president Reinhard Walser of the new
53-year-old coach, who will leave his current position as sporting director
of Swiss side Neuchatel Xamax FC having signed a three-year contract which
comes into effect on 1 January. "Xamax's current sporting director
has first-class tactical and educational abilities and has experience
in top-level football as well as with junior teams."
Coaching experience
Zaugg served as the assistant coach to the Swiss national team for a number
of years, working under Ulli Stielike, Roy Hodgson, Artur Jorge and Gilbert
Gress and helping his country reach the 1994 FIFA World Cup finals and
EURO '96T before taking charge himself in 1999 and 2000. At club level,
Zaugg has worked for Super League sides Grasshopper-Club, Young Boys and
FC Luzern and was voted Switzerland's coach of the year in 2001.
