Quagliarella Still Can't Believe Where He Arrived
The Sampdoria forward is enjoying his first days of training with the
Italian national side after being called-up for the first time ever by
Coach Roberto Donadoni.
Fabio Quagliarella feels in seventh heaven following the
opportunity of training with the national team that a few months ago won
the World Cup. The Sampdoria player told sampdoria.it his first impressions
after three days of training with the Azzurri.
"Everything is fantastic,' explained Quagliarella. 'So far we did
not see the pitch much, both for the time and the type of preparation.
'However, even to stay in close contact with those who a few months ago
lifted the cup puts you in subjection and makes you say: look where I
arrived..."
Quagliarella has been very impressive with the Blucerchiati this season
scoring 11 goals - none from the penalty spot - for the Genoa based club
and deserving the call-up with the Azzurri.
