Guss Hiddink expressed his view on the coming Estonia battle in Euro-2008
qualifying round.
Only 19 players will go to Tallinn to defend the honor of
Russian national side as a lot of players for this or that reason can't
help the team.
Roman Pavlyuchenko, Vasiliy Berezutsky, Alexey Berezutsky, Denis Kolodin,
Evgeni Aldonin and Igor Semshov are out of action for an uncertain period
of time through injuries.
Captain Yegor Titov withdrew from the squad through family problems and
won't be able to help his team to make another step towards the final
stage of European championship.
The team manager Guus Hiddink spoke about the sqaud problem ahead of the
battle.
"We miss three key defenders but I think it's no use complaining,"
said Hiddink to Sport Express.
"We will do our best to find a way out of the deplorable situation."
"Russian team are considered to be the favourites but I can't but
keep in mind our meeting in Saint Petersburg."
"We dominated throughout the game but they managed to tie the score."
"I think Estonia will pay more attention to attack on Saturday."
"It will be a difficult game for there are a lot of young players
in the sqaud who have had no chnaces so far to show their worth."
"I don't feel any pressure ahead of the game but I must say I feel
curious to see what the young are capable of."
"We respect our rivlas and I hope they respect us."
"The unfortunate expereince dosen't let us hope of easy three points."
