The Italian national team players responded in the way
their coach wanted, to put up a good display and beat Scotland 2-0 on
Wednesday night in the Euro 2008 qualifier.
Roberto Donadoni was more than satisfied with the performance of the Azzurri
who defeated the Scottish side without too much difficulty to get back
on track and move within two points of the top three in Group B.
"No ghost was chased away, the players responded in the right way.
The rest is useless chitchat. We must have some good memory: I'm thinking
about the match against Georgia, the one against Ukraine, we drew against
Lithuania in a match we had to win.
"We forget things too easily. Now let's enjoy this win, then we shall
think about the next one. I want to be happy for what the players have
done. For me it's them who matter and also this fantastic public. When
you have to do with such lads, the responses arrive on their own."
