Lokomotiv's young midfielder Diniyar Bilyaletdinov was the best in
Premier Liga in May.
The 22-year old midfield man Diniyar Bilyaletdinov has achieved
a lot: he is a constant starter in one of the best Russian clubs; he is
regularly capped for the Russian national side and he has gained Premier
Liga and Russia Cup titles.
Yet Bilyaletdinov is sure that he has a long way to go.
On being named the best player in Premier Liga in May, the midfielder
spoke to Sport Express.
"On the one hand things are really good for me," said Bilyaletdinov.
"On the other hand I am not satisfied with everything."
"The previous season was certainly not my best."
"I can't say it was a complete failure, I'd rather call it making
no headway."
"Another thing I am not satisifed with is that we didn't manage to
take Russia to the World Championships."
"Lokomotiv failed to become champions twice when the title seemed
to be in our pocket."
"I can't forget the frustrating defeats from Rapid and Zulte Waregem
on the European scene."
"Moreover I am sure that there are far better players in Loko."
"Loskov, Spahic, Ivanovic, Sychev are all better than I am in some
aspects of the game."
"Yet I am doing my best to catch up with them."
"My task today is to clinch another title with Lokomotiv and only
after that I'll think of playing abroad."
