One of the heroes of Russia-Macedonia clash Vyacheslav Malafeev spoke
to Sport Express about his feat.

Zenit keeper Vyacheslav Malafeev started the game on the
bench but had to come out after Vladimir Gabulov was sent off for a foul
in the area.
Malafeev put up a good show as he did not let Igor Mitreski score from
the penalty spot when the latter attempted to tie the game for Macedonia.
"That was probably the first time in my career that I had to come
out on the field when your opponent was about to shoot from the penalty
spot," said Vyacheslav Malafeev to Sport Express.
"Yet I am too experienced to get nervous."
"I knew what I had to do and I did it: the moment when I parried
the penalty attempt proved the crucial in the game as my teammates reestablished
control of the game."
"We did not deserve to lose points in this game if you think logically."
"But I doubt that it is logic that rules in football."
