The Portuguese manager Jose Murinho quit Chelsea and there
is much talk about his possible successor.
Guus Hiddink is said to be one of the candidates for the post but Russia's
manager dismissed the possibility in an interview to Sport Express.
"I stick to my opinion: I work with Russia and I enjoy it,"
said the Dutch specialist.
"We are going to extend the contract with Russian Football Union
up to the year 2010."
"I am happy to be doing my best on Russia's way forward, to help
develop the infrastructure in the country."
"There is nothing else I am thinking about at the moment."
The manager also commented on the outcome of Champions League clash between
PSV and CSKA in which the latter suffered a 1:2 defeat.
"CSKA must be really frustrated about the outcome as they could have
snatched points from PSV."
"It is very difficult to assess their chances to advance further
as the teams have played only one match."
"However, it is clear that CSKA have to avoid loss of points in home
matches."
"Fenerbahce inflicted an unexpected defeat upon Inter so CSKA must
beat the Turkish club on the next matchday."
"One has to inderstand that there can't be many scoring opportunities
in international matches."
"So you have to be very accurate and convert at least 50% of what
you create."
