Oleg Blokhin talks about FC Moskva selection problems, which hamper
the team development.
FC Moskva head coach Oleg Blokhin joined the club in winter
transfer break following Leonid Slutsky's dismissal, however he couldn't
imagine which problems he would have to face.
"The club headhunters promised to reinforce our squad with new players,
but it turned to be mere words, which have never been put into reality",
explains Blokhin to Sport Express.
"At the same time I had no right to quit the team ahead of the championship
kick-off."
"Moreover I just couldn't imagine that we would lose so many players
through injuries at the start of the Russian campaign."
"Following our first match against Luch-Energiya eight players slipped
out from action, and I was forced to search for replacements."
"We had been training on artificial pitches in Austria and having
returned to Moscow we had to switch to artificial surfaces."
"The pitch in Vladivostok leaves much to be desired, so it's not
a surprise players fell with injuries."
"I asked our bosses to acquire reliable players, but my request has
been ignored. As a result I was forced to seek for services of those players,
who exhausted themselves in the team."
"Debutants needed time for adaptation, so in other words I am to
build an absolutely new team now."
"Sergei Semak took leave of Moskva, but I believe we could have kept
him in the squad."
"I am more disappointed by the fact that bosses failed to keep their
word, but I am only the head coach and financial matter is not my duty."
