After seeing his South African side held to a 2-2 friendly
draw by Australia in London on Tuesday evening, coach Joel Santana helped
himself to a sly comment about the Socceroos style of football.
The 2010 World Cup hosts displayed a nice passing game at times at Loftus
Road but the Brazilian was not impressed with the more physical and direct
style of the Aussies.
"South Africa are similar to Brazil in the way they play - my players
treat the ball with love and care," he said.
"That's why we play football. I would never want to play the way
Australia play - my players don't have those characteristics."
Australia are preparing for the final stage of qualification for the 2010
World Cup which kicks off in Uzbekistan in September.
