NEPOMNYASCHY: DIFFICULT BUT NOT AWFUL
For the famous world coach Valery Nepomnyaschy, who has headed Tom
recently, the match against Terek will be the first in Russia: the 65-year
old professional coach has never worked in the Russian championship.

"The conditions for the work are close to ideal,"
said Valery. "Speaking about the work itself of course there is some
excitement and pressure."
"I have never been in Tomsk before, but my impressions are very good,
as this is the city with beautiful ancient architecture. You can feel
a kind of placation on the streets."
"At the moment I am the general director counselor. You know, I have
no license of the appropriate kind at the moment, as the documentation
of the USSR is not currently in force. But we are going to solve this
problem without any delay."
"Here in Russia the tension is higher than abroad, I has never been
given immediate purposes."
"I can say that there is nothing to panic about, but the situation
in the team is not that easy. The goal for the rest nine matches of the
championship is to play our game and get all the points possible. I hope
we will achieve it."
"I have not yet learnt all the players, it is more important that
they recognize me. When they are on the pitch I have less problems with
recognizing them than in the everyday life."
"After the match with Saturn I have no complaints about the player's
commitment but they seemed to lack self-confidence and I will try to improve
that."
