Barker: wants to help Santana (images.football365.com)

Former Bafana Bafana coach Clive Barker has warned that
any more defeats could cause irreparable damage to the squad's confidence.
Bafana take on Malawi in an international friendly on Tuesday and Barker
believes failure to secure victory would make a mockery of South Africa's
credentials as 2010 World Cup hosts.
"If we cannot beat Malawi, then maybe we should not even be hosting
the Soccer World Cup," Barker told BusinessDay.
Barker has also urged Bafana coach Joel Santana to reach out to local
coaches in a bid to turn Bafana's fortunes around.
"I would love to help and would gladly do it if asked. We do not
want his (Santana's) job and we only want to help him.
"All that we are waiting for is for (South African Football Association
CEO) Raymond Hack to pick up the telephone and make that call."
Bafana have not won a match since June and Santana is in urgent need of
a morale booster. The Brazilian will have to do without defender Mbulelo
Mabizela, who has reportedly gone AWOL.
"He has still not pitched up and we do not know where he is,"
Sipo Nkumane, Bafana Bafana team manager, said.
"When we inquired from his team if they knew his whereabouts, they
also did not know."
