Roman Pavlyuchenko wants his Russia team-mate Andrei Arshavin to join
him at Spurs.
The club chased Arshavin, who plays for Zenit St Petersburg, throughout
the summer but could not agree a deal with the Russians, who valued him
at £25million.
Spurs had been keen to secure Arshavin and Pavlyuchenko, both of whom
excelled in Russia's progress to the semi-finals of Euro 2008.
Only Pavlyuchenko arrived, and after a slow start the forward is now settling
in to life at White Hart Lane.
Asked whether he would appreciate Arshavin's arrival in January, Pavlyuchenko
said: "Yes, of course I would like that.
"I haven't spoken to Arshavin myself, although I know there have
been discussions about him moving to another club. All I know is that
Arshavin wants to join another good European team."
Pavlyuchenko has scored seven goals in 11 starts for Spurs and he will
be up front again with Darren Bent at West Ham on Monday.
He added: "It is too early to judge the partnership [with Bent],
but in practice matches, we pass a lot to each other, and we seem to able
to find our game."
