Russian national team head coach Guus Hiddink spoke to Sport
Express correspondents Maxim Kvyatkovsky and Boris Levin yesterday. All
members of the national team will go through the training session, which
will take place in Turkey on February 8-12.
"I can explain where we took four days for the training camp in February",
said Hiddink. "Two days are provided by FIFA regulations, as it's
official time for friendly games".
"We got two additional days, because we decided not to hold trial
match back in November. Then I thought it wouldn't be necessary to bother
players at the end of the season with the game. I gave them an opportunitu
to prepare for the Eurocup matches with their teams.
"That's why I suppose there can't be any questions, especially after
we settled these issues at RFU recent meeting".
"By the way we discussed this situation with Zenit assistant coach
Cornelius Pot. He told me not to bother about it. in other words, we reached
an agreement. All players, who will be capped for the training camp, will
go to Turkey".
