Yesterday Vitaly Mutko celebrated his fiftieth birthday.
Sport Express congratulates him and wishes him good sport that won't disappoint
him.
"Most important for any common person is a healthy and happy family,"
said Mutko. "I am happy that my family understand that my job does
not allow me to pay them more attention. You know, my daughter had a baby
recently and I could not even see her from the maternity hospital. I know
that I have chosen this way myself but I am happy my family support me."
"On Tuesday [today] I have a meeting with the governor of Moscow
Region Boris Gromov and the mayor of Khimki Vladimir Strelchenko. We are
to decide the future of FC Khimki. We are doing our best to keep the team
in the Premier League. The main problem is investors ready to put up money
in the club."
"I do not think that Khimki is only the first portent of the financial
crisis. Moreover when this story started several clubs from First Division
at once expressed desire to replace Khimki in the Premier League. So everything
is not that bad."
"Starting from July I always read in the press the question about
the salary of Hiddink. That looks as if people want to overblow a scandal,
but there is none."
"The budget for 2008 is open and makes up 1 billion 400 million rubles
and is wholly executed. One oа its expense items is salaries of the coaching
staff of the national team as well as other expenditures on the team such
as travel allowances."
"I can say that the whole sum in the previous period constituted
13.5 million euros. I see that this is expensive but the game is worth
the candle."
"One of the investors of RFU was and is the fund "National Academy
of Football" that gives us money on the tasks above. Since July our
cooperation with the funs was frozen and Hiddink and his assistants received
the money form different resources."
"But recently I met with Roman Abramovich and we resumed our relations
- you could have seen it in the press that Abramovich transferred five
millions dollars. Though now you can count that this sum clears only a
part of expenses."
