"I did not worry before the game," said the newcomer
of the Gunners. "I felt as usual, nothing new. But during the match
I had a constant feeling to play as simple as possible I did not want
to risk."
"There was nothing new about the order of things in Arsenal. I think
that most of the clubs have pretty much the same order, and neither Arsenal
nor Zenit are exceptions."
"I have several rituals and superstitious beliefs. Of course I have
to giver up on some of them but still I was given the chance to enter
the field last as I always do."
"I feel quite well in England. Everything happens very fast just
as I thought it would be. I mean not exactly the tempo of the game but
the abruptness of combating. There is absolutely no time to make a decision,
you should react immediately."
"Probably my feelings are redoubled because I have not entered the
field for a long time already. I think I need to get accustomed to all
this. But at the moment I find it difficult to keep up with the events."
"We are disappointed that the match ended with a draw. We must have
taken advantage and get points taking into account that our main rivals
Chelsea and Aston Villa were playing each other this round. Though unfortunately
we failed to score."
"I think that Chelsea will be able to pass over not only Aston Villa
in the final standings but Liverpool as well. So our main opponents for
the Champions League would be Aston Villa I think."
"I cannot judge how good I am and what form I managed to get into.
It is always difficult to judge from a single match. Moreover the debut
match is usually spent on emotions. Though I think I was ok in these sixty
minutes, what could have happened further nobody knows."
"I expected this substitution. I think it is quite all right. My
position on the field implied a lot of work, so at the beginning I felt
fresh but then began to get tired."
"I cannot make any conclusions after the first match. I knew it from
the very beginning that it would be interesting."
