"After the first match we know quite good what we should
pay special attention to," said Babbel. "In some periods in
St. Petersburg Stuttgart was better. But there were periods when the Russian
team looked much stronger."
"And we should reach the goal when good time periods for our opponents
are as small as possible and ours are on the contrary as long as possible.
That will help us to dissolve the score advantage of the opponent."
"I think that Zenit is a top-club but everything rests with us. In
the Saturday's match against Hoffenheim we played very well creating many
scoring chances. But it is also important not to behave frivolously in
defence - and then we will have all the chances for success in the UEFA
Cup."
"If we make the similar mistakes as in the match with Hoffenheim
it will be very difficult for us."
"The field in Stuttgart is better than in St. Petersburg and I think
it is better for us. We know it well and after all it is our home stadium
we will play with the support of our fans."
"But we should prevent the rivals from finding their game and not
let them counterattack."
"I would not say that we have problems in the back line. Serdar Tasci
for example played very well with Hoffenheim. But we do concede a lot
of goals."
"We make careless mistakes sometimes and it does not mean that we
have problems with center defenders. We ought to play more organized and
we should avoid these stupid mistakes - as we let in very easy balls."
"We score three goals ourselves but it turns out insufficient, and
for me as a former defender it is especially bitter to concede so many
goals."
"In the Russian Premier League there are many good professionals
but I cannot judge whether Russian League is stronger than Bundesliga.
If your teams played here in Germany then we would see."
"Of course we cannot deny the fact that Zenit left two German clubs
in the cold last year and now won a match over Stuttgart. Though it does
not mean that they will be a success in the coming match."
