"Of course the Saturday match was not very spectacular,"
said Zenit player. "I cannot say that we attacked constantly without
lessening the speed."
"On the other hand our main task was victory and we achieved it.
In these two spring matches the national team must get six points and
we have already done half the work."
"One can understand the supporters, they have not seen the national
team for a long time and came to support us. Probably they hoped to see
us scoring at least fourteen goals."
"But in the nowadays football you won't see such results. There are
no weak opponents, everybody learnt to play."
"What concerns audience appeal than I think it is better to show
good play in the World Cup final stage in South Africa."
"I am sure that Russia will get to South Africa. Moreover I am sure
we would perform quite differently there from what we showed on Saturday
against Azerbaijan."
"Definitely I like beautiful football and we always strive for the
one but at the moment the team has the matches that we should win whatever
game we show."
"I agree with our head coach when Guus said after the match that
the team lacked freshness. First of all we could see it because we did
not have many speedy attacks."
"I don't think that happened because the season has just started
in Russia. I think it is artificial turf of Luzhniki. It is quite difficult
to train there for four days and then play."
"In the coming game in Vaduz it will be more difficult for us I presume
at least because it is a road game."
"Now I have no idea about the condition and peculiarities of the
field in Liechtenstein. I saw the game of Liechtenstein against Germany
and though the latter won 6:0 they had much trouble."
"The first goal they scored on about 40th minute and the hosts fought
their best. So no doubt they would be in high spirits to compete with
us."
"The best possible option for us is to score a quick goal and then
try to nail down the result. If we score two goals before the break it
will be wonderful."
"Of course the team of Liechtenstein thinks differently but hopefully
Russia will dictate terms in this game."
"We must enter the field with full confidence to get three points,
be ready for tough competition and respect the opponent."
"Our main rivals Germans have such a schedule that they can lose
points only in the coming game in Cardiff. I hope that Wales would not
lose two times in a row at home [Finland beat Wales on Saturday]."
"And we have more opportunity to part with points till the game against
Germany in Moscow, we meet Finland and Wales away. The success recipe
is only one - to win every single match."
