CSKA suffered a shocking loss to Rostov last weekend. This
fact causes everybody's concern especially ahead of their match with Krylya
Sovetov, who top Premier League table. One of CSKA leaders Yuri Zhirkov
gave an interview to Sport Express after yesterday training session.
"I still can't understand what happened with us in Sunday match with
Rostov", Zhirkov said. "I am very much concerned not by our
loss to Rostov, but with the way we lost this match. Maybe for the first
time in very long period of time I can say that our opponents were stronger,
but I am sure that we would have won this game if we had played our best
football".
"I have no idea what was the main reason for our failure. Possibly
we left too many emotions in the Russian Cup quarterfinal against Lokomotiv
and we were too tired. Now we have a week for preparations for our next
fixture with Krylya Sovetov and I hope the result will be more pleasant
for us".
"For the present moment Krylya Sovetov is the most stable team in
our championship, I suppose they deserve the top spot in the standings
now. They suffered only one loss to Lokomotiv, which they didn't deserve,
because the referee helped the Railway Boys to steal this victory".
"Krylya Sovetov jumped to the top of the table mainly thanks to their
team play. They are always very attentive in attack and defence and it's
clear that they are able to fight for the leading positions".
"Samara visit will undoubtedly be very tough and we will need to
give 100% in this match. I would lay special emphasize on Koller, Adzhindzhal,
Jarosik and Savin. But in general we should be afraid of all their first
team players".
"Vagner Love's comeback to action after an injury is a big advantage
for CSKA. He has been training with the main group during several days,
so I think he will manage to regain his peak from by Sunday".
Krylya Sovetov central defender Jiri Jarosik also shared his impressions
from their next rivals.
"After our victory over Dynamo I stayed in Moscow and visited CSKA
vs. Rostov clash", said Jarosik. "The result of this game came
as a big surprise for me, but it was not CSKA's best day".
"On one hand this match can't but please us, because thanks to their
loss we jumped to the summit. But on the other hand this loss will serves
as additional motivation for their players".
"I hope that our supporters will help us debeat CSKA in Samara".
