GUUS HIDDINK admits there is one
thing he will regret about leaving Chelsea - missing the chance to take
on Manchester United.
Hiddink is in charge tomorrow for his final league match, against Sunderland,
and quits after next weekend's FA Cup final with Everton to concentrate
on managing Russia for the World Cup.
Dutchman Hiddink, 62, said: "If there is anything I will miss about
the Premiership it is that I would have liked to have played Manchester
United.
"It's not just about testing myself against Sir Alex. It's a shame
we never influenced the title.
"It will not happen so I can easily be carried away now about what
might have happened."
Hiddink is still seething over Chelsea's controversial exit to Barcelona
in the Champions League semi-final.
He added: "I think UEFA, although they will not say it, were very
happy there was not an all-English final for the second consecutive time.
"I feel the anger and the injustice. This was not an inexperienced
referee. I think he had a total blackout that evening. It was not his
first big game but it was amazing how he did not react."
