The author of the second goal of the Russian team Roman
Pavlyuchenko shared his impressions on a friendly clash with Argentina.
"I watched the first half from the bench and I saw that our team
looked quite well", said Pavlyuchenko to Sport Express. "We
led the game, scored one goal and could have doubled our advantage".
"I was preparing to enter the match in the second half during the
interval so I didn't go to locker rooms and I don't know whether players
and coaches discussed the first conceded goal".
"We really failed beginning of the second half though we need to
praise Argentina as they scored two goals brilliantly. Level of our opponents
is very high".
"When the score became 1:3 I had bad thoughts about Jamaica. However
we managed to topsy-turn the game and earn advantage".
"Argentina won this match and it means that they are stronger than
Russia today. But we played most part of the game not worse and sometimes
even better than our rivals. Unfortunately we didn't convert our opportunities".
"Of course our feelings are not positive after this match but I don't
see any catastrophe in it. It was a friendly clash and it gave us enough
information to think about ahead of World Cup qualifiers. This information
is supposed to help us in September and October when victories will be
necessary as the breath of life".
"It's pity that we didn't win at fully-packed Lokomotiv stadium but
maybe it represents our current form".
