| ZHIRKOV: I AM EAGER TO RETURN TO FULL ACTION
One of leaders of the Russian national team Yuri
Zhirkov talks about his rehabilitation process as injury didn't let him
take part in Wednesday friendly against Argentina in Moscow.

"Unfortunately I had no opportunity to watch Russia
vs. Argentina friendly on TV so I watched only goals and most dangerous
episodes", said Zhirkov. "I also read articles about this match".
"To all appearances Russia played well except ending of the first
half and beginning of the second one. If we had converted at least one
scoring chance at the beginning of the game we could have counted on victory".
"I am eager to come out to the pitch. Every match of our national
team is a big event and I don't want to miss it".
"I don't know how I will rehabilitate because now I can't dream even
about full-fledged training session. But doctors say that my form becomes
better and I also feel it".
"Rehabilitation process is not very fast but nobody is going to speed
it up. Everybody understands that I am eager to return to the pitch and
they wish me good luck".
"I try not to lose heart. Shevchenko and Ivanovic will soon return
from their international duties and will entertain me".
"Shevchenko and Ivanovic are my best friends in Chelsea but I also
got into contact with other teammates. When I come to our training base
everybody asks me about my form and wishes me quick rehabilitation".
"I talked to Ancelotti several times. He always tells me that I shouldn't
hurry up and that I have enough time to shake off my injury".
"Most of all I was impressed by the way of preparing for the games
and process of rehabilitation after them in Chelsea. We all understand
that our main target will be only victory".
"Of course I keep an eye on my former club's performances. I try
to watch all matches in internet, I read articles about CSKA and call
up Aldonin, Grigogiev, Krasic and Odia".
"It's a pity that they lost to Spartak but CSKA is not very far from
the leaders and I think that everything should be all right".
"I know that CSKA signed Mark Gonzalez to replace me. I haven't watched
him playing but I wish him god luck".
"I also would like to congratulate Valery Gazzaev. I had no opportunity
to congratulate him with 55-anniversary personally and I want to do it
