Pavlyuchenko Does Not Want To Leave Tottenham For Roma
- Agent
The Russian attacker intends to remain in England...
Tottenham Hotspur managed to add Peter Crouch to their attacking
ranks a few weeks ago, and when doing so, it was immediately speculated
that Roman Pavlyuchenko could be on his way out of the club.
The Russian star was linked with a move to Italy, as Roma - who have money
to spend following Alberto Aquilani's move to Liverpool - were said to
be interested in acquiring his services.
However, the agent of the player has publicly declared that his client
will remain in the Premier League, and that he has no intentions of joining
the Giallorossi in the near future.
'Roman does not want to leave London,' Ian Elliott explained to Laroma24.it.
'He is a Tottenham player, and that is where he intends to remain. We
have had no contact with Roma, nor any other Italian club for that fact.
'The player wants to stay in London and make the most of his opportunities
there, even though this year there will be plenty of competition in attack.'
Pavlyuchenko was in action for Spurs last night, making a substitute appearance
in the closing stages as they began their campaign with a 2-1 triumph
over Liverpool.
