"I assess our transfer campaign as good since acquisition
of Vladimir Bystrov surpasses all other achievements", said Radimov
to Sport Express.
"First of all Bystrov is player with the Russian passport. Secondly
he started his career in Zenit. He also plays in the Russian national
team, he is a very strong player and finally his move to Zenit weakens
Spartak".
"I think Vladimir should be ready for negative attitude of Zenit
fans. I can understand their feelings after he moved to Spartak, but all
people has a right for a mistake. I have no doubts that if Bystrov continues
showing the same passion like in the match with Khimki, our fans will
calm down".
"I will surely meet with leaders of Zenit fan groups when I come
back to St. Petersburg. Our coaching staff and our supporters want their
favourite club to win so I think we will solve this problem only when
we discuss it".
"To my mind we should just to talk about it. I have been working
in Zenit for many years and our fans always helped me, so I think we will
find a common language".
"I suppose that Bystrov doesn't need to take part in our talk, though
our managers will decide it".
"I understand Bystrov who returned to his home city. Financial conditions
of his contract with Zenit are not fantastic so money is not the main
reason of his decision to come back to St. Petersburg".
"I take off my head to Spartak coach Valeriy Karpin who managed to
create a very attractive team. Of course I will never like Spartak however
I cannot deny that all football lovers are impressed with their performance".
"Karpin is a unique man in our football, as he is one of those who
are not afraid of calling a spade a spade. It would be great if everybody
listen carefully to such people".
"Absence of Vladimir Bystrov won't damage Spartak considerably but
we cannot but say that it will weaken them. It will be very hard to find
a suitable replacement for him and I doubt whether they will manage to
do it".
"So far as I know Zenit planned to acquire Rosina, Kornilenko and
Bystrov. As for Mateja Kezman it's better to ask Igor Korneev about details
of process of the talks and his transfer".
"I don't think that Kezman will be a replacement for Pavel Pogrebnyak.
The Serbian man will play only ten matches in Zenit and it's unclear whether
he will stay in Zenit while Pogrebnyak was our first-choice striker".
"I would be happy to see all St. Petersburg players who play in other
clubs now. Alexandr Kerzhakov is Dynamo player now and transfer window
is already closed. But I would be glad if he returns to Zenit".
