Star midfielder Andrey Arshavin is set to hand Russia a
massive boost ahead of Wednesday's World Cup qualifier with Wales.
The Arsenal man missed Saturday's 3-0 win over Liechtenstein with a groin
injury but trained with team-mates this morning and will fly to Wales.
The Russians relaistically need to beat John toshack's men to keep alive
their hopes of topping Group Four ahead of Germany.
Last week week, Russia coach Guus Hiddink said: "I cannot deny there
are also troubles with Arshavin. I saw the match Manchester United vs.
Arsenal on TV. Arshavin scored a nice goal but at the end Arsene Wenger
was forced to substitute Andrey."
"I think I should be patient and wait for the development of this
situation. Probably the player will have to rest for several days. But
anyway I count on Arshavin's help."
