"I want to say that I get much pleasure from football shown by our national team. it always happen when the team strives to play attractive attacking football".

"I understood that Russia won this match when Roman Pavlyuchenko fired in the third goal. Several minutes before it Wales created dangerous moment and it's great that Pavlyuchenko's goal calmed down our team".

"Guus Hiddink praised us after the game for showing our fighting spirit. Before the match he told me that I should be careful in defence and try to join our attacks".

"Our national team will gather together again at the beginning of October for decisive matches against Germany and Azerbaijan. If we collect six points, we will finish qualifying campaign as leaders of our group".
