Michael Ballack: "In the second half we played well
and that is why we got three points. So everybody should gain their best
conditions because in Russia there will be in fact a final of the group."
"We are happy with everyone in the team who scores. In this case
this player acquires additional self-confidence and this is good for the
team as well."
"For Klose it was very important that he had playing time and scored.
In both recent matches - with South Africa and Azerbaijan - he moved well
and did everything properly. In one word he played the way that made everybody
forget about his problems."
"We have already played against Russians in Dortmund and managed
to win there but we know perfectly well that Guus Hiddink is as cunning
as a fox. He is very experienced and whenever he worked he achieved success.
He proved it with Russia at the Euro-2008."
"So we know what he is capable of and there should not be any unexpectedness
for us. That is why we should be very well prepared for the tussle in
Moscow."
Lucas Podolski: "After the first half Joachim Loew was very disappointed
with our performance and we got a scolding in the dressing room. As a
result we got an important victory and now we are to go to Moscow."
"The spirits are high enough. We are Germans, we are leaders. We
can go to Russia with self-confidence. And we want to get a ticket to
the World Cup-2010 if not in this match than in the last one. Of course
we want to win Russia and want to go to South Africa from the first place
not second."
"I have no fear before the match. We occupy the first place, played
well in the first match with the Russian team - so we have nothing to
be frightened of."
Thomas Hitzlsperger: "We did not play very well against Azerbaijan,
got relaxed after the first goal. But the match with Russia will be completely
different. The opponent will act in a different way. I am sure we will
enter the pitch fully concentrated for we know that Russians never forgive
any mistakes."
"Your team is very good, there are many high-qualified players in
it - we saw it in Dortmund. We must fight till the very last minute. I
assume that it will be interesting both at the stadium and on the field.
We will have it hard."
"We did not think about what can happen if Russia takes the first
place in the group. First of all we should play in Russia and then will
think about the future."
Rene Adler: "After our first match with Russia we had very many emotions.
We deserved the victory in a first-class match, one of our best one recently."
"Already now we are up to the coming game in Russia and know that
it will be difficult. If we manage to play the way we did in Dortmund
I presume we can win."
"It is not good that we will have to play on an artificial turf.
But we will have time to train on one and get used to it. This game will
