Yesterday Dynamo first-choice goalkeeper Vladimir Gabulov was hit by trailing knee of Spartak striker Welliton and was forced to leave the pitch. Possibly the change of Gabulov for Anton Shunin was made until the end of the season.

The Russian goalkeeper has been hospitalized to the Sklifasovsky Institute and managed to answered several questions of Sport Express correspondent.

"I don't have any concrete information now", said Gabulov. "Diagnosis is not very comforting since I have a fracture of facial bone. I will have to undergo a medical surgery after which situation will be clearer".

"I was told that rehabilitation period would take me two months and that I wouldn't be able to play football. The Russian championship will finish by this date and I don't know whether there is a slight hope that I will return into action this season".

After Sunday derby Sport Express correspondent also talked to Dynamo goalkeepers' coach Nikolay Gontar.

"At first I thought that everything would be all right and Volodya would continue the match", said Gontar. "But when doctors showed that substitution was necessary I understood that his injury is serious".

"I didn't see the episode on videotape but I don't think that Welliton challenged Gabulov deliberately. I cannot understand why he couldn't stop and hit our goalkeeper. In these situations strikers always try to stop in order to escape a clash".

"The referee of the match booked Welliton with a yellow card immediately however when he saw what happened with Gabulov he must have sent off Brazilian man. It's not normal when a player inflicts a serious injury to goalkeeper in a harmless situation".

"I am satisfied with Anton Shunin's display as he wasn't nervous and played very confidently. Goalkeeper of his level should always be in good form. I agree that he lacked playing practice, however he didn't sit on the bench all the time. He has been working hard during the trainings and I had no claims to him".

Dynamo applied to the Control and Disciplinary Committee with request to consider the episode when Welliton inflicted an injury to Vladimir Gabulov.

"Our main target is to pay the Committee's attention to the player's actions", said Dynamo general director Dmitriy Ivanov. "We think that this episode deserves special attention from the point of view of football ethics".

"It's impossible to say whether Welliton challenged Gabulov deliberately or not but it was evident that the goalkeeper would be the first to take the ball and the striker couldn't leave him behind anyway. Footballers of Welliton's level cannot play this way.

"I apologize to Dynamo goalkeeper who got injured because of my actions", said Welliton. "My main task was to score a goal, but the goalkeeper was the first to catch the ball and I had no time to jump over him".

"My actions were not deliberate and I hope that Gabulov will return to the pitch very soon".
