According to Sport Express information the FIFA preliminarily
appointed Laurent Duhamel and Terje Hauge to referee the matches of Russia
and Slovenia on 14 October in Moscow and on 18 October in Maribor respectively.
"If your information is true I will be more optimistic," said
the Rubin midfielder Sergey Semak. "Both Duhamel and Hauge refereed
our last two matches in the Champions League and I liked their way."
"Both are modern, self-confident referees with almost similar views
about their work. They let the teams play, do not disturb them with their
whistles and referee what they see inventing nothing."
"Those games turned lucky to us - remember only our victory over
Barcelona with Duhamel refereeing."
