Diniyar Bilyaletdinov has been named Everton's player of
the month for October.
The Russian scored two superb goals at Goodison Park against Wolves and
Aston Villa to earn the Blues vital points.
The midfielder picked up the accolade at a special lunch at the stadium
on Thursday afternoon attended by sponsors of the Club.
"It is a very big honour for me,' he told evertonfc.com. 'I have
also had chance to meet the fans and have a meal with them as they present
my award."
In a month that has also seen Billy play for Russia and hit two sensational
strikes for his national team, the midfielder says he can often be his
own worst critic.
He continued: "I was pleased to score last month but I was disappointed
at the same time though because we dropped points in the two games and
I felt I could have scored more.
"I am quite critical of myself. I take criticism on board from the
coach, my father and my friends but the best critic for you to have is
yourself. My own opinion about myself pushes me to do better and improves
my game."
Bilyaletdinov returns to the squad for the Merseyside derby on Sunday
following his three match suspension for the red card shown to him against
Villa.
Billy hopes he will return with a bang with his name on the score sheet.
"I enjoy scoring at Goodison Park. I hope I score more throughout
the season in front of the home crowd."
