"At the moment I try not to pay attention to any rumours
that appear around," said the Dutch specialist."
"But I cannot but comment on the information about my alleged signing
the contract with the Turkish national team for it concerns my dignity
and reputation."
"Before I can negotiate with anyone I am to contact the Russian Football
Union so I assure you there is nothing true in this information."
"My relations with the employers have always rested on straightforwardness
and frankness. And I can confirm that I have neither sealed any contracts
nor even negotiated to any club or federation. Though many want these
talks to start. But I declined all offers."
"I have enough time to think everything over and make a proper decision
concerning my future work in Russia."
"My contracts runs out at the end of June and I plan to fulfill it,
and only by that time I am going to make up my mind."
"The elections of the new RFU President are coming and that is why
it is mot clear what further strategy will be employed in Russian football.
And I have nothing to do but wait."
"It is too early to speculate about the possibility of my staying
on the post for another two years. Moreover not my first conversation
with the new RFU President will be decisive. Everyone needs some time
to get used to his new position."
"I did not watch the World Cup-2010 draw I just could not. I was
so much disappointed with the failure of my team that seeing the draw
would cause much pain to me."
"Moreover I could not do almost anything for the time after the Maribor
match. The ravening and disappointment were great."
"I could not believe that we are not going to South Africa and I
do not fully realize it now."
"I said before that I would not go to the World Cup with any team
even if I were offered to even if it concerns the hosts of the tournament."
"Most teams that advanced to the final stage are going to South Africa
with the same coaches but if not I would decline such an offer. It would
be unfair towards Russia."
"These events are one of the worst in my sports life. I can compare
them with two things."
"The first one is the World Cup-1998 semifinal the Netherlands vs.
Brazil where we lost in penalty shootout. The second is the recent Champions
League semis Chelsea vs. Barcelona where we conceded the fatal goal at
the last minutes."
