"At the moment I feel fatigue," said Akinfeev.
"For I have played all the official matches of the season from the
start till the last minute in the club and the national team."
"I think any person would feel it. But now when you can relax a bit
you start to realize how hard it was. Though I understand that it is a
standard for the leading players of the best championships - they annually
play 50-60 games."
"I could not say that the end of the season is a relief for me. But
at the training camp in Belek my body cried for some rest."
"But I understood as well as all my teammates that there was only
one, very important game and worked as hard as possible trying to deceive
the tiredness and small sores."
"In Istanbul the stake was the ticket to the Champions League play-offs
we had never won before. But it was important not just to get it but also
to win - to bolster our self-esteem."
"I think that Besiktas can play better that they did. Probably we
did not let them show themselves to the full extent. CSKA was a little
stronger and luckier as always happens with superior side."
"I do not think that it is relevant to speak about changes in the
defensive line as some reasons for our problems. Instead of Ignashevich
and Berezutsky there were people who have been playing for the club for
5-7 years."
"Odiah, Semberas and Rahimic are experienced players and the match
in Istanbul proved that fact. There were no big problems in defence except
for a couple of moments. And there are always several dangerous moments
in every match."
"For the entire match Besiktas had only several moments and we had
much more. They were not so dangerous as the episode with Tello penetrating
the penalty area alone. And I think that even if he scored we had all
the chances to equalize."
"I do not want to compare the Russian championship and the Champions
League - they are two different tournaments where we failed in one of
them and succeeded in the other."
"There are no weak opponents among those that we can meet in the
eightfinals. So I cannot say that I prefer any of them. But I think that
we have visited England too much this year so Spain should be better in
the end of the winter."
