Everton's Russian midfielder Diniyar Bilyaletdinov has said
there is no panic at the club, despite the side being just a point off
the relegation zone.
"The mood at the club is ok, there is no panic. There are still 22
matches left. We do have a lot of injuries though," the player told
the Sovetski Sport paper.
Everton drew 3-3 with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge at the weekend, a result
that gave the club's fans hope that the side will soon begin to rise up
the table.
"An away draw with Chelsea is a decent result," Bilyaletdinov,
who was recently voted Everton player of the month, said. "We earned
a day off and I spent it at home with my family."
Unlike Chelsea's Yury Zhirkov and Tottenham Hotspur's Roman Pavlyuchenko,
the 24-year old international has no problems with expressing himself
in English, a key factor perhaps in his success at securing a first team
place.
"I recently gave an interview to the club website," he said.
'I asked the interpreter to come with me. But I was able to handle it
on my own."
Everton are in 15th place in the Premier League with 18 points after 16
games.
