"If to recall that I took part in CSKA training camp
for the first time in 2003 in Israel, it's easy to count that it's my
eighth preparations with the main team", said Akinfeev.
"In general these training sessions don't differ from each other,
they all are similar. Every time we have to get up very early".
"The second half of winter is maybe the worst time of year for football
players, but the season would be very difficult without preparations in
January".
"The first preparation camp is really the most difficult thing in
player's career, because it's hard to begin working after rest both psychologically
and physically".
"But it's necessary to be able to switch yourself to hard work, and
when you go to your eighth training camp it's easier to do than in your
debut season".
"The injury, which I picked two years ago, doesn't bother me now,
though nothing pass without consequences. But now that period is already
in the past, and I hope that nobody recalls about my injury when people
saw me playing".
"Frankly speaking I would like to have longer holidays. I think that
after tough season, plenty of games and regular trainings one month and
a half of rest would be much better, which is practiced in leading European
championships".
"I spent the first half of my holidays in Astrakhan where I had an
opportunity to forget about my Moscow fuss. I didn't watch TV and follow
the football news, I only rested from everything there".
