"I hope that I don't change as a player in Chelsea",
Zhirkov shared his opinion with Sport Express. "Each player should
have his own playing style regardless the club where he plays. If he is
really different from other players, he can easily prove his worth in
any team".
"The Champions League is special competition for Chelsea. I remember
that everybody had special mindset ahead of the match with Porto. But
on the other hand we always have special attitude to all games".
"I will support my Chelsea partners, who will perform at the World
Championships this summer. And as for the Olympic games, I will surely
watch hockey tournament".
"My only dream now is to play as much as possible this year. I play
in one of the world's'strongest clubs and it's the highest peak of career,
which could be dreamt of".
"But if I had to sit on the bench like for example Roman Pavlyuchenko
in Tottenham, I would give everything including high salary for an opportunity
to leave the club. Player can't live without constant practice".
"I hope that I won't sit on the bench too often, because sometimes
each Chelsea player has to do it".
"When you don't play football, you really feel very bad and everything
around you seems foreign. So I perfectly understand Pavlyuchenko who wants
to change the club in order to have an opportunity to play football. But
now I play more or less regularly and it makes me feel well".
"If to think about my career in England, it is rather successful,
while my family is also all right now, so my supporters can have no concerns
about me".
