Roman Pavlyuchenko has opened his heart to Harry Redknapp
in a bid to clinch a move back to Russia.
Lokomotiv Moscow still have an offer on the table for the 28-year-old,
who hopes the Tottenham Hotspur boss will let him leave after tonight's
match at Wolverhampton.
'I told Redknapp - one to one, not through the press - that I need to
play now, or my form will get worse and worse,' said Pavlyuchenko.
'The transfer window has closed in Europe, but in Russia it is still open
and I have the chance to go there.
'Everything depends on the position of the head coach and, hopefully,
after our personal conversation, it will change in my favour.
'I've not had a final response, but I'm waiting for it after the match
against Wolves.'
Birmingham are keen to sign Pavlyuchenko in the summer after coming close
to agreeing a fee on transfer deadline day earlier this month, but the
former Spartak Moscow player has made it clear he is not keen on a switch
to St Andrew's and would prefer to return home.
