BEREZUTSKY EYES SUPER CUP
CSKA central defender Vasiliy Berezutsky is set
to win the Russian Super Cup for the fifth time in his career.

"Super Cup is not Premier League gold medal or UEFA
Cup", Berezutsky told Sport Express. "Winning one more trophy
is pleasant, but nobody is going to say that it's necessary to do it by
all means".
"We consider Sunday match as one of stages of preparations for the
season. If we win it, it will emotional boost ahead of the start of the
championship".
"I clearly remember the first Super Cup in history when we lost to
Lokomotiv and attitude to it was absolutely different. It was new tournament
and we hoped that it would be interesting and important".
"I wouldn't say that it didn't become important, but it didn't justify
all hopes. I feel very calm as it will be my sixth attempt to win the
Super Cup".
"Rubin cannot be compared to Spartak, as our rivalry with the Red-and-Whites
is the main derby of the season and there are not any other similar matches
in Russia. But games with Rubin are also important because this team claims
to be leader of the Russian football".
"We beat Rubin in the Super Cup and the Cup, but they won Premier
League gold anyway. That is why each match is a special story, which has
nothing in common with relations between the clubs".
"In any case when I am on the pitch, I never recollect what happened
in our previous face-to-face clashes".
