Sport Express correspondent phoned to the Russian striker
after Roman fired in two goals to Blackburn and congratulated him with
his comeback to football.
The newsmaker was in good mood of course, though he was not 100% satisfied
with his performance.
"I should have scored in the first half of the match because I had
two perfect opportunities for it", Pavlyuchenko said.
"I was in perfect position when I scored the first goal, but to be
honest my name wouldn't have been written on the scoreboard without assistance
of visitors' goalkeeper Brown. He replaced their first-choice goalie Robinson,
who would never concede this goal".
"In the second scoring episode I played not well at first, but my
partners gave me the second attempt and I just needed to strike empty
goal".
"When you have constant playing practice, you perceive everything
in positive way. I am not going to guess how many goals I will score in
the ongoing championship, so let's count them only at the end of the season".
"Now I think only about end of the championship. Tottenham stands
good chances to finish it in the top four and snatch a spot in the Champions
League, so we shouldn't lose this opportunity".
"Moreover we will fight for the Cup too. So when we will finish the
season in May, I will think about my future career".
"I don't hurry to make responsible decisions, like I did in February
when I was sure I would quit my club".
Roman Pavlyuchenko received 72 points to win Zvezda in February. Alexandr
Bukharov became the second with 42 points, while Pavel Pogrebnyak got
35 points to be the third.
