At the turn of the year the Russian forward was frustrated
with his lack of first team action at Tottenham and feared for the consequences
on his World Cup place with the national team.
Pavlyuchenko even accused manager Harry Redknapp of making fun of him
in his treatment and appeared to be engineering a move.
Palacios wants Real Madrid move However, eight goals in his last six games
has seen a remarkable turnaround in fortunes for the forward who is now
an integral part of a side that is challenging for a top four finish as
well as competing in the latter stages of the FA Cup.
"I'm not in a hurry to make decisions on my career - unlike last
month, when I was sure I would leave," said Pavlyuchenko.
"I now think only about the end of the season.
"We stand a good chance of finishing in the Champions League places,
so we shouldn't waste this opportunity.
"And we will fight for the FA Cup, too. So I will think about my
future in May.
"And I'm not going to guess how many goals I'll score - let's count
them once it's over."
