Roaming Roman? Spurs forward Pavlyuchenko
could be packing his bags for Portugal next season

Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko is on the verge of
a season-long switch to Sporting Lisbon, according to reports in Portugal.
The two clubs have agreed to split the striker's salary for the entire
campaign and all that is now needed to seal the deal is the agreement
of Pavlyuchenko himself, claims Portuguese newspaper Abola.
The Russia front-man, 28, has struggled to hold down a place in the first
team at White Hart Lane, and finds himself below Peter Crouch and Jermain
Defoe in the pecking order for a spot in the two-pronged forward line
favoured by Harry Redknapp.
The Spurs boss has also admitted he is chasing a new striker, with Luis
Fabiano his primary target and Manchester City's Criag Bellamy also understood
to be high on his wish list.
Pavlyuchenko had only limited opportunities to impress for Tottenham last
season, scoring ten goals in 24 appearances. He joined the club from Spartak
Moscow for ?13.8million in September 2008.
