"I came here to get acquainted with our new head coach,
but not to the absolutely new team for me", Pavlyuchenko told Sport
Express. "It's very interesting to find out new requirements and
schemes".
"Players know each other perfectly and we are some kind of a family.
I arrived to Saint Petersburg with great desire to meet my teammates as
soon as possible".
"I watched several matches of Bulgarian team last year and I know
several their players who perform in English Premier League, so I know
that our friendly game won't be an easy walk for us. We need to show our
fighting character and win Advocaat's debut match in our national team".
"After our failure against Slovenia, we should rehabilitate in front
of our supporters and demonstrate our desire to return to our level at
Euro-2008 and after it".
"To be honest I am afraid of losing the atmosphere which was in the
national team under Guus Hiddink. But I think that my fear is groundless
taking into account that players are the same and Alexandr Borodyuk stayed
in the team too".
"It's clear that Advocaat's requirements are different, but the team
is the same. Now when we met each other, I got sure that everything will
be all right".
"In Tottenham I played more than one half against Fiorentina and
my injury didn't bother me at all. I tried to move as much as possible
on the pitch".
"I know that Spartak is really interested in me and as their former
player it's very pleasant. However there is nothing to comment on now,
because I am Tottenham player, I am preparing for the season in my team
and I am focused on my work".
