"Speaking about possible switch to 'autumn-spring'
system, I don't see any disadvantages, while there are a lot of benefits",
Fursenko said. "The main thing is progress, which is impossible without
development of infrastructure and ability to play on high-quality pitches".
"It's very important to make management of all clubs develop their
infrastructure, and that is why one of the main advantages of our championship's
switch to new system is that we set direction of this development".
"Quality of football depends on quality of pitches, so we can use
summer break for changing grass pitches at the stadiums. At the same time
the summer break can be used for taking part in commercial competitions
and I mean clubs both from Premier League and the First Division".
"There are a lot of other benefits and I don't see any disadvantages
in this system. I heard only about one problem, that in this case it will
be difficult to fix the budget, however our championship in basketball,
volleyball and other sports are synchronized with Europe and they have
no problems connected with budgets".
"We have already prepared preliminary schedule. If we decrease number
of clubs in the First League from 20 to 16, they will be able to play
at the same dates with Premier League. And if teams in the First and Second
Leagues play one game every five days, we don't need to reduce number
of participants".
"As for our national team, many people believe that it's necessary
to renew the team, however we have no talented newcomers. Taking into
account situation when we have no friendly matches, Dick Advocaat doesn't
have an opportunity to risk".
"Everybody says that our game with Bulgaria was bad, but result of
friendly clash is not so important, because the coach wanted to try various
combinations for the first official match".
"There is a group of players, whom Advocaat perfectly knows. Possible
he will introduce new players to the national team during the qualifying
stage, but now we have no time for experiments".
"We decided that Lokomotiv arena would be perfect venue for our qualifying
game against Slovakia, since we will surely see the full stands there.
We had no concerns about Luzhniki, but Lokomotiv has good artificial pitch,
while it would be wrong to play on artificial surface in autumn".
