Roman Pavlyuchenko's agent has denied suggestions
that the Tottenham Hotspur striker has agreed a deal to join Lokomotiv
Moscow in the January transfer window.
Skysports.com reports how the 29-year-old Russian international has been
heavily linked with a move away from north London, after making just two
substitute appearances in the Barclays Premier League this season.
With half an eye on next summer's Euro 2012, Pavlyuchenko has intimated
that he needs to be playing regular football in order to cement his place
in the Russia squad for the trip to Poland and Ukraine, and said that
if he doesn't get that at Tottenham, he may be forced to leave White Hart
Lane.
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has said that he will consider offers for Pavlyuchenko
in the New Year, but doesn't want to weaken his squad as he continues
the club's surge towards the Barclays Premier League title.
Recent speculation claimed that Lokomotiv have already lined up a deal
to sign the former Spartak Moscow striker, however Pavlyuchenko's agent,
Oleg Artemov insists that no decision has been made over his future.
"Roman has one-and-a-half years left on his contract with Tottenham,"
Artemov told Sport Express. "And who found out that it's Lokomotiv
that has agreed anything with him?
"He hasn't signed anything. There are more offers. We are learning,
analysing and talking about them."
